Southern Shore

The gas-lit streets and historic villages along the Southern Shore Region have a distinct Victorian charm. It is the perfect setting for boardwalk strolls and afternoon teas.

The streets of Cape May are lined with historic Victorian homes, some of which date back hundreds of years. The towns of Ocean City, Wildwood, and Cape May along the Atlantic Ocean are perfect places to enjoy picturesque ocean views and spectacular sunrises. This region is also a nature-lover's utopia. In Cape May, the World Series of Birding lets birders challenge themselves for a full 24-hour period to count the various bird species. It's usually easy to spot bald eagles, great blue herons, and osprey nearby. The entire area is perfect for boating, camping or hiking.

Popular shopping areas here include the Cumberland Mall in Vineland and the Washington Street Mall in Cape May. At Dutch Neck Village you can visit museum shops which feature exquisite glassware and other fine crafts. The Glasstown Arts District in Millville is a popular place to view exhibits that showcase the works of regional artists.
